iphone week 1

Okay! I am going to have weekly iphone photos posts because as cliche as it may be..my phone is always with me and is such an easy way to document my every day life! It's a snap, click away! So these will be little updates :3

So, My week so far has not been so eventful. I'm just going to do a quick update. I went thrift shopping with my family yesterday (for President's day!) because my local Savers was having a 50% off sale! The first photo is of some amazing shoes I found! They were too small for me (nooo!) but they fit my sister, so I'll still try to fit my foot in 'em! I found many other more things which I hope to showcase in the future.

The second picture above is a favorite floral headband I made myself this past summer. I'm truly in love with it! It took some patience, but it's perfect. I was thinking of making some and selling them on etsy but I'd have to perfect them a bit more and learn the whole online-business thing beforehand! It seems tough.

Oh! I wanted to add last Saturday I went to San Pedro w/ my family to eat some good food (which you should only eat like once a year, and thinking about it makes me want to hurl). Anyways, I wore my favorite thrifted polka-dot button-up and my favorite coat (which is a marvelous yellow, no?). And we saw that wonderfully green cart of plants while walking around in San Pedro. That's it for today :-)

la arte

I absolutely adore art. I mean, I am an art history major. I do love history in general (especially U.S history!) and I love studying it. I will showcase some of my favorite paintings and artists here. To celebrate my first post, I will display one of my all time favorites! Above, you see Primavera by Sandro Botticelli. Botticelli is an Italian painter who lived around the late 1400s, around the early Renaissance era. He also created this magnificent Birth of Venus.

The details of this painting are what really catches my eye, as well as the beautiful colors. The garments on the subjects (which are mythological figures) are sensual and enticing. Learn more about this painting here!
