I absolutely adore art. I mean, I am an art history major. I do love history in general (especially U.S history!) and I love studying it. I will showcase some of my favorite paintings and artists here. To celebrate my first post, I will display one of my all time favorites! Above, you see Primavera by Sandro Botticelli. Botticelli is an Italian painter who lived around the late 1400s, around the early Renaissance era. He also created this magnificent Birth of Venus.

The details of this painting are what really catches my eye, as well as the beautiful colors. The garments on the subjects (which are mythological figures) are sensual and enticing. Learn more about this painting here!
